Torino midfielder Adem Ljajic’s 2017 appears to be over, after he suffered a thigh injury.
The Serbian international came on for Mirko Valdifiori at half-time in the loss to Napoli, but picked up a muscular injury.
Today the Granata have confirmed that Ljajic missed training, with scans revealing “a strain to the right biceps femoris muscle”.
That rules him out of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match with Roma.
While further scans are planned for the coming days, Sky reports that the creative midfielder is likely to miss the games with Spal and Genoa, making his return in the new year.
