Inter director Piero Ausilio confirmed they are “paying attention” to Gerard Deulofeu, but have no intention of selling Joao Mario or Mauro Icardi.
The Nerazzurri visit Fiorentina this evening, follow the action as it happens on the LIVEBLOG.
Barcelona are prepared to release winger Deulofeu, who impressed last season on loan at Milan, with Napoli also interested.
“There have been no formal offers for Deulofeu, but we are paying attention to the situation. If there are the conditions to try something, we know the characteristics we are looking for. Deulofeu could be the right profile, but he isn’t the only one,” Ausilio told Mediaset Premium.
Joao Mario receives a rare and surprise start this evening rather than Antonio Candreva.
“We have no intention of selling anyone this month. Our squad is correct, some players were injured and there is the possibility of adding something, but overall the squad is fine.
“We are only in one competition, Serie A, and we know the transfer formulas at our disposal. If there’s the opportunity to add something, we’ll be ready.
“The Coach has the right to make his choices and that includes Joao Mario. He plays wide for Portugal, so he is starting today as a technical decision.”
Ausilio was asked about Icardi’s release clause and Real Madrid potentially paying it next summer.
“We are not worried. Aside from the fact there is a clause that is valid for abroad until July, Mauro and we want to stay together and achieve our objectives.
“I won’t exclude that, without any appointments set right now because he has a very long contract, we could in future sit down and talk about something different.”
