Roma and Chelsea are in negotiations for Emerson Palmieri, confirmed the left-back’s agent. “It’d be a dream to work with Antonio Conte.”
The Brazilian has emerged as the prime candidate for the January transfer window, as Juventus won’t sell Alex Sandro for less than €70m.
On the other hand, Roma have put a price-tag of a reported €30m on Emerson, who has just returned from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
“There’s nothing certain yet, we are in a phase of discussion and evaluation,” agent Fernando Garcia of Elenko Sports told Calciomercato.com.
“Chelsea are a concrete possibility, absolutely. Now the two clubs are talking, we’ll see if they reach a positive conclusion.
“I have no planned trips to Italy, at least for the moment, as we are waiting for developments. Obviously, Emerson would love to play in the Premier League and it’d be a dream to work with Conte, as he is among the best Coaches in the world.”
