EDF: ‘Roma must keep players’

Coach Eusebio Di Francesco says Roma need “consistency” which would be helped by “continuity with certain players”.

The Giallorossi beat Bevenento 5-0 last night, and the tactician wants to use that result as a springboard, as well as urging the club not to sell his stars.

“After 40 difficult we’re discovering the solidity of this squad,” Di Francesco said on Radio Anch’io Sport this morning.

“Now we need consistency, we’re the team that shoots the most in Serie A, but we need to work hard to improve our defects.

“There’s still a lot to do, but despite the changes the team took on board what I was asking for yesterday.

“From December we had 40 days of difficulty, now after the close of the transfer window we’re discovering the solidity of this squad.

“Being able to have continuity with certain players would be ideal. I hope that by re-establishing some situations within the club we have have continuity with certain players.

“That’s what [sporting director] Monchi is doing.”
