Alisson has confessed that interest from Real Madrid ‘makes me happy’ but insisted he is happy at Roma for now.
Madrid are among the clubs linked with Alisson, whose stock continues to rise thanks to his performances for Roma this season, and the goalkeeper made no secret of his enthusiasm for the European champions.
“Real Madrid’s interest in me makes me happy, I won’t deny that,” he told Globo Esporte.
“These are satisfactions that form part of a player’s career. I’m very happy when a club or journalist speaks well of me, it means I’m doing well and that they’re following me.
“Imagine when a club like Real Madrid does that… but for now I’m focused on Roma. I’ve never felt undervalued here.
“They weren’t able to appreciate me at first. I had a tough first year, not playing as much as I wanted.
“Here in Italy, it’s said that the first year is used to understand Italian football, and that was the case, even though I felt ready to play when I arrived.
“I worked hard when I was on the bench. I trained to be ready for whenever my time came, and that’s happened, thank God.
“Here at Roma, I’m happy, putting in good performances and helping the team achieve their objectives.
“I want to keep going like this with Roma until the end of the season so that I’ll have continuity for Brazil.”
