Roma captain Daniele De Rossi laid a wreath in memory of the 96 Liverpool supporters who died in the Hillsborough disaster.
On April 15 1989, close to 100 fans were crushed to death during an FA Cup semi-final between the Reds and Nottingham Forest.
In 2016 a second coroner’s inquest found that the supporters were unlawfully killed, as a result of negligence by police and ambulance services.
There is a memorial to those who passed away outside Anfield, and ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League semi-final first leg, Giallorossi captain Daniele De Rossi laid a wreath on behalf of the squad.
