Roma qualify for Champions League

Inter’s 2-1 home defeat to Sassuolo means Roma have mathematically qualified for the Champions League and Lazio could follow tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri were beaten at San Siro for the third year running by the Neroverdi, as Matteo Politano rolled a free kick under the wall and Domenico Berardi scored a scorcher.

This result means that Roma are now mathematically sure of their place in the Champions League next season, along with Juventus and Napoli.

Lazio will follow if they beat Crotone tomorrow afternoon, as the gap currently stands at two points.

Inter and Lazio go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico on the final day of the season.
