Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini assures “having a release clause doesn’t mean you have to leave”.
The 21-year-old has a release clause in his contract, believed to be €25m, and has been heavily linked with a move this summer.
Juventus are among the clubs said to be interested in signing him, but the Italian international doesn’t appear desperate to leave. “The season isn’t over yet,”
Pellegrini pointed out as he received the Premio Cultura Sportiva Beppe Viola.
“In any case, having a release clause doesn’t mean you have to leave. We’ll meet at the end of the season and take stock of the situation.
“Eusebio Di Francesco? He’s been hugely important for me and my growth, I have to thank him. We’ve spent a lot of time together and we both want to do better.
“We’re ambitious and we want to improve.”
