Roma to bid for Porto’s Brahimi?

It is reported that Roma are stepping up efforts to sign Porto’s attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi.

The 28-year-old scored 12 goals and claimed 10 assists as the Dragoes won the Primeira Liga title and reached the Champions League Round of 16 this season.

And according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Algeria international could be on his way to Serie A.

It is thought that the Stadio Olimpico club would have to meet Porto’s asking price of €30m in order to secure Brahimi’s signature.

Roma have already signed one player from the newly-crowned Portuguese champions this summer – Spanish defender Ivan Marcano.

They have also recruited Ante Coric from Dinamo Zagreb, with sporting director Monchi thought to be interested in adding Ajax duo Hakim Ziyech and Justin Kluivert to the Giallorossi squad.
