Sassuolo winger Matteo Politano’s agent confirms they are “working on” a deal with Inter, despite interest from Napoli, Milan and Roma.
The forward turns 25 in August and had the most prolific season of his career, scoring 11 goals with five assists in 39 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
“We are working on Politano to Inter. They are certainly interested,” agent Davide Lippi told Sky Sport Italia.
Lippi was already at the Nerazzurri HQ today to discuss the renewal of goalkeeper Tommaso Berni’s contract.
Politano had been on the verge of a transfer to Napoli in January, but the paperwork was not completed in time.
That was worth €25m, but his price-tag has only increased with splendid form and his senior Italy debut.
