Roma ‘to appeal Pallotta ban’

Roma are expected to appeal the three-month ban handed out by UEFA to President James Pallotta.

Pallotta was punished for describing the officiating during Roma’s 4-2 win against Liverpool in last season’s Champions League semi-final second leg ‘an absolute joke’, before referring to ‘interesting non-calls’ the following day.

However, ANSA reports the Giallorossi will explain that the American’s statements were made ‘in the heat of the moment’, given the result was not enough to take them into the Final.
