West Ham United have reportedly offered €10m for Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons.
According to The Sun, West Ham have gone in for Gonalons after Everton and Crystal Palace both failed with bids.
The newspaper explains the Hammers are in the market for a midfielder after selling Cheikhou Kouyate to Palace.
Furthermore, while the 29-year-old would ‘prefer’ a return to France for family reasons, he is ‘seriously considering’ a switch to the Premier League.
Gonalons ended a 17-year association with Olympique Lyonnais to join Roma last summer but started just 12 times in Serie A during 2017-18.
West Ham, meanwhile, have gone all-out this summer, splashing out almost €100m on the likes of former Lazio winger Felipe Anderson.
