Former Milan player David Beckham will receive the UEFA President’s Award for his contribution to football and charity work.
The 43-year-old retired in 2013 after a career spent with Manchester United, Real Madrid, the LA Galaxy, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
He will receive the award in Monaco later this year, following in the footsteps of Johan Cruyff, Franz Beckenbauer, Bobby Robson, Paolo Maldini, Frank Rijkaard and Gianni Rivera.
In 2017, the winner was Roma legend and Italy World Cup winner Francesco Totti.
