Roma Sporting Director Monchi has reportedly met with the agent of Mexico international and Club America winger Diego Lainez.
According to Il Tempo, the Giallorossi have been monitoring the 18-year-old Club America talent, who has already scored twice and made one assist in 10 games for the club this term.
The youngster, who is adept at playing wide on the left or right wing and also as a trequartista, has been nursing an ankle injury which has seen him miss the last four games.
He already has two senior caps for Mexico, despite only turning 18 in June.
The Italian newspaper claims that the player, whose agent is Pierfilippo Capello, the son of legendary tactician Fabio, is valued at €20m (around £17.5m), but Roma could be ready to make a January move, as they have two places available in the squad for non-EU players.
