Roma are expected to meet with captain Daniele De Rossi in January, to offer him a one year extension to his contract.
The midfielder has spent his entire career with the club, and inherited the armband when Francesco Totti retired in the summer of 2017.
The 35-year-old has played over 600 games for the club, and is under contract until June 30 of next year.
According to today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi will offer him a one year extension, keeping him at the Stadio Olimpico past his 36th birthday.
De Rossi has always been clear that he doesn’t want to be a burden to the club, but will have no problem signing the renewal as long as he feels he can contribute.
