Lorenzo Pellegrini has no intention of leaving Roma for Manchester United, but it’s also reported the €36m release clause is not valid in January.
There have been multiple reports in the English media over the last few weeks of a January swoop for the Italy international.
However, his agent denied any talks with the Old Trafford outfit, as well as insisting there was no interest in leaving Roma.
There is another rather large obstacle that has been overlooked, as the €36m release clause is very low for a player of his quality, but it is only valid during the summer.
That means any attempt to sign Pellegrini in January would have to be done by negotiating directly with the Giallorossi.
