Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi has warned Inter that Olympique Lyonnais are also in for the young midfielder.
Corsi confirmed last week that Inter were interested in Traore, but he revealed Lyon had already ‘asked’ about the 18-year-old, even if Empoli did not want to sell in January.
“We won’t do much in the transfer market. We believe our players are the best,” he told Calciomercato.com.
“When we do something, you’ll know about it. We absolutely won’t sell Bennacer. He’ll stay with us at least until June. Neither have Roma asked about him in concrete way.
“Traore is liked by every team in the Champions League or who have been in it, Inter included.
“Lyon asked about Traore, but we don’t want to give the lad up in January. As for Kownacki, I’ll take him as a suggestion…
“All jokes aside, we prefer not to talk until there’s news.”
