Genoa owner Enrico Preziosi is facing disciplinary charges after being summoned to an FIGC court hearing for his comments about referee Marco Di Bello.
The FIGC announced on Wednesday that Preziosi had been referred to its Federal National Court for ‘going public with statements that were detrimental to Di Bello’s reputation’.
The 70-year-old hit out at the official’s ‘disgraceful’ refereeing during the Grifone’s 3-2 defeat to Roma on December 16, accusing him of ‘acting in bad faith’.
It came after Alessandro Florenzi seemed to push Goran Pandev as he was mid-air trying to head a cross deep in stoppage time, but there was no VAR review.
