Roma target Domagoj Vida has pledged his loyalty to Besiktas on transfer-deadline day. “I feel very welcomed and respected here in Turkey.”
Vida appeared to be closing in on a late move to Roma, but the deal never went through and the Croat – who was also linked with Inter and Juventus – has committed himself to Besiktas for the foreseeable future.
“I am privileged to be coveted by several well-respected European clubs, but I am also very grateful and thankful to the president [Fikret Orman] and club management for seeing me as an important part of Besiktas,” wrote the 29-year-old on Instagram.
“Together with my family, I feel very welcomed and respected here in Turkey and I am looking forward to fighting for Black Eagles and our fans.”
