Roma are the latest club to have been fined for discriminatory chanting against Napoli as six players will miss Week 30’s action in Serie A.
The FIGC ruled on Monday that Roma would be fined €12,000 as a result of their fans’ behaviour during the 4-1 defeat at the Olimpico.
This is the second time in two years that the Giallorossi have been punished for such an act, while the likes of Inter, Milan, Juventus and Lazio have faced the FIGC’s wrath in the past.
Elsewhere, six players will be suspended for the next round of Serie A fixtures.
Chievo’s Fabio Depaoli was shown two yellow cards against Cagliari, whereas teammate Riccardo Meggiorini, Roma defender Kostas Manolas, Udinese pair Sandro and Jens Stryger Larsen, plus Genoa stopper Domenico Criscito incurred booking bans.
