Chris Smalling may be forced to wait for his Roma debut after the Manchester United loanee suffered a muscle strain in training.
Smalling joined Roma from United on a season-long loan last month, but his arrival coincided with the international break.
However, the Englishman pulled up in training yesterday with a muscle strain and worked away from the squad this morning.
The 29-year-old will undergo tests later, which will confirm his availability for Sunday’s Serie A match against Sassuolo.
The Giallorossi already have Leonardo Spinazzola, Davide Zappacosta, Diego Perotti and Cengiz Under on the treatment table.
