Roma will reportedly pounce for Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer if Alisson leaves.

According to Calciomercato.com, doubts over Paris Saint-Germain’s Alphonse Areola have led Roma sporting director Monchi to look towards Sommer.

The 29-year-old is vastly experienced, with 75 European appearances for Basel and Monchengladbach, and has played a key role in Switzerland’s run to the World Cup last 16.

He would also be deemed affordable at €30m, given the Giallorossi are demanding double that for Alisson, who has been heavily linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid.
