Stephan El Shaarawy has reportedly been diagnosed with a Grade I lesion to the calf muscle, so will miss Roma games against Napoli and Fiorentina.
The forward pulled out of international duty after Italy’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Finland, although he did not play, and was sent home before tonight’s match with Liechtenstein.
According to Sky Sport Italia, El Shaarawy has been diagnosed with a Grade I lesion to the left calf muscle.
This sort of injury tends to require one to two weeks out, so he is expected to miss Roma’s Serie A encounters with Napoli and Fiorentina.
The aim is to have the Little Pharaoh ready to face Sampdoria on April 6.
El Shaarawy was the latest player to leave international duty with an injury after Alessandro Florenzi, Federico Chiesa, Cristiano Piccini and Lorenzo Insigne.
