Nainggolan: ‘Inter thought it was easy’

Radja Nainggolan admits Inter “thought it was a bit too easy” against Frosinone and were almost caught out. “I hope to start finding my form now.”

The Belgium international’s header had opened the scoring in an eventual 3-1 victory at the Stadio Benito Stirpe, but when Frosinone got it back to 2-1, there were some tense moments.

“We thought it was a bit too easy, but these games are above all difficult when you relax. They work hard, are really aggressive and have a lot to lose, so they give everything.

“After it went to 2-1, we did well to hold on to the ball and add another goal to finish it,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.

“Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of injuries and so far at Inter I haven’t been able to give what I know that I can. I hope to start finding my form now.”

Next Saturday, Inter host Roma at San Siro in a crucial clash for the Champions League places.

“It’s a head-to-head for us and for Roma. I left a lot of friends there and have a great deal of respect for my past, but I am an Inter player and have to give my best for this jersey.”
