Roma are expected to meet the agent of Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout on Monday as Milan are unwilling to pay the €25m asking price.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, incoming Giallorossi sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has arranged a meeting with the Frenchman’s representative Mario Giuffredi to discuss a possible transfer.
However, the reporter adds Napoli cannot be ruled out as a destination, given Marko Rog and Amadou Diawara may need replacing.
Meanwhile, Milan News editor Antonio Vitiello agrees Roma remain a viable option, explaining the Rossoneri deem his €25m valuation too high and are therefore reluctant to pay it.
The Diavolo also look to have missed out on Sassuolo’s Stefano Sensi, who appears Inter-bound.
