Official: Parma-SPAL will go ahead

Parma-SPAL will kick off at 12.45 GMT, 13.45 local time, 75 minutes later than expected after it was decided not to suspend the entire Serie A season due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The players were literally standing in the tunnel with others already on the benches of the empty Stadio Tardini, preparing to start the game behind closed doors.

At that moment, the referees called them back into the dressing room, having received the call that the Minister for Sport and FIGC were considering a total suspension of the Serie A season.

Instead, after a 35-minute delay, it was announced the game would go ahead and – presumably – so will the rest of this weekend’s fixture list with the usual kick-off times.

The new kick-off is now 12.45 GMT, 13.45 local time, and the players are currently warming up.
