New deal for Romagnoli?

Milan are, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, hoping to extend the current deal with captain Alessio Romagnoli.

The centre-half has a deal until June 2022, but the newspaper claims the Rossoneri are hoping to avoid any future problems and will sit down with their captain to discuss a new and extended deal.

In a period of suggested changes at Milanello, the future seems secure for the former Roma defender, who can also deputise at left-back if necessary.

The report claims the negotiation with Mino Raiola’s client will start in the coming months, as the 25-year-old has established himself as a key member at San Siro.

Stefano Pioli has relied on the Italy international, who has been an ever present in the League for the Diavolo this term and has played 181 games, contributing seven goals and one assist since his €25m transfer from Roma in August 2015.
