Paulo Fonseca could be reunited with Bernard as reports in Italy claim the Everton winger has been offered to Roma.
LaRoma24 and Calciomercato.com are both running the line, with the latter going a step further, adding Bernard has the ‘desire’ to work with Fonseca again.
Together they won two Ukrainian doubles at Shakhtar Donetsk between 2016 and 2018.
The 27-year-old left in the summer of 2018 and was linked with Milan, but he ended up signing for Everton on a free transfer.
He was a regular performer under Marco Silva but has become more of a peripheral figure following Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival at Goodison Park.
CM writes Everton value Bernard in the €18-20m region, which is ‘a bit less’ than what Arsenal would be holding out for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Bernard has 14 caps and one goal for Brazil but has not represented his country since the 2014 World Cup.
