Roma the ‘priority’ for Pedro

Reports are growing in Italy and Spain that Pedro has decided to leave Chelsea as a free agent to sign for Roma, with interest from four others including Juventus.

His contract is due to expire at the end of this season and he can therefore already negotiate a new deal elsewhere.

Mundo Deportivo report that there are five clubs chasing the Spaniard: Juventus, Sevilla, Real Betis, Valencia and Roma.

However, AS note this evening that Roma represent ‘the priority’ for Pedro, backing up the story from Italian newspaper Il Tempo.

Roma have been working on convincing Pedro for many weeks and it looks as if that will pay off when the winger makes his decision.

Pedro turns 33 next month and has been at Chelsea for five seasons.

So far this term, he has contributed two goals and three assists in 18 competitive games for the Blues.
