A UEFA licence for 2020-21 has been granted to 16 out of 20 Serie A clubs, with Brescia, SPAL, Lecce and Genoa missing out.
The clubs can lodge an appeal within five days of the verdict.
As Atalanta’s Gewiss Stadium is still undergoing restructuring work, they have again chosen a different arena as their official base, although this can change as the work progresses.
They have picked the Mapei Stadium in Reggio-Emilia, the home of Sassuolo, although Atalanta played their Champions League games for this season at San Siro in Milan.
Similarly, Cagliari have registered using the Dacia Arena in Udine.
Sampdoria successfully applied for their UEFA licence using the Stadio Luigi Ferraris – known also as Marassi – but Genoa were not able to meet the other requirements.
The four Serie A clubs that failed to prove their suitability were the ones currently in the bottom four: Lecce, Genoa, SPAL and Brescia.
