Bernard’s agent has confirmed the Everton winger could join Roma in a swap deal with Robin Olsen in the winter transfer window.
The Brazilian has two goals in nine appearances with the Toffes so far this season and Roma boss Paulo Fonseca knows him well having coached him at Shakhtar Donetsk.
He scored 17 goals in 66 appearances between 2016 and 2018 and his agent Adriano Spadotto has confirmed the 28-year-old could join Roma in January.
“I’ve already spoken with Fonseca about him,” he told LaRoma24.
Bernard could move to the Capital permanently in a swap deal with Robin Olsen who joined the Premier League side on loan last summer.
“Yes, it’s possible,” Spadotto confirmed.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has recently confirmed his desire the sign the goalkeeper permanently.
“We are pleased to have him here. He is a goalkeeper with experience so I think we are going to talk with him and his agent to find a solution for him to be here permanently,” he said last week-end.
“It can be for January or in June.”
