New Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto arrived at Trigoria and met Guido Fienga and Paulo Fonseca today: ‘I am happy to be here.’
The Portuguese director arrives from Benfica and his appointment was revealed by the Capitolines this past November.
“I am happy to be here, we’ll talk later on,” Tiago Pinto told reporters at Roma’s training ground.
Paulo Fonseca has confirmed to have already talked to his compatriot about the Giallorossi’s January transfer strategies, while Edin Dzeko insisted the club need to make new signings to strengthen the team in the winter transfer window.
Tiago Pinto met Fonseca and Roma’s CEO Guido Fienga for the first time today. He could only speak with them remotely over the last few weeks as he had tested positive for COVID in December.
“I’ve spoken with [Dan and Ryan] Friedkin and we have the same ideas,” the Portuguese director said last week.
“The most important thing is to create a winning mentality, play game by game and then achieve our targets.”
