Former Roma President James Pallotta used sarcasm to reply to a fan who had told him he’d sell Kylian Mbappé ‘for two peanuts.’
The 2018 France World Cup winner scored a hat-trick in PSG’s 4-1 win away at Barcelona last night and Pallotta was somehow involved in a discussion on the French striker.
Pallotta replied to a tweet of Charlie Stillitano who had praised the PSG star.
“He really reminds me of a young Stillatano at Princeton,” Pallotta wrote on Twitter.
A Roma fan joined the conversation telling Pallotta he would “sell Mbappé for two peanuts” if he was at Roma” and the former President replied with sarcasm saying he would have done it for one.
Pallotta sold Alisson and Mo Salah to Liverpool for €62.5m and €42m respectively.
Medhi Benatia, Erik Lamela, Marquinhos, Antonio Rudiger, Kostas Manolas, Miralem Pjanic and Radja Nainggolan are other players who left Roma during Pallotta’s tenure.
