Roma defender Roger Ibanez has reportedly recovered in time for the first leg against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Europa League.
Sky Sport Italia reports the centre-back trained for the first time with the rest of the group and will be called up for the match against the Ukrainians.
The Giallorossi coach Paulo Fonseca has been given good news ahead of the match against his former club, as Ibanez recovered after two weeks out with a muscle injury in his right leg.
The broadcaster reports Ibanez trained with the rest of the group and will be available for the match on Thursday.
The 22-year-old recently signed a new deal until June 2025 with La Lupa and has established himself as an important player in Fonseca’s defence.
He has played 26 competitive games with the Giallorossi this term and three of them came in the group stage of the Europa League, where he contributed one goal against CFR Cluj in November.
