Rick Karsdorp has renewed with Roma until June 2025 and said the ‘trust’ shown from the Giallorossi gave his career ‘a new turning point’.
The 26-year-old right-back has played 23 times in Serie A this term, contributing five assists and one goal in the process.
The Dutch defender spent 2019-20 on loan with Feyenoord but has established himself as a regular in Paulo Fonseca’s plans this term.
He has now signed a new deal until June 2025 and thanked La Lupa for the faith.
“I’m really happy for this renewal,” Karsdorp told the club’s official website. “I want to thank all the areas of the club that have followed me in this path.
“Feeling the trust of the people who work here was decisive in changing direction and giving a new turning point to my career.”
Roma signed Karsdorp for a reported €16m from Feyenoord in July 2017 and the former Netherlands international has played 45 competitive games for the Giallorossi.
